About me

I am a computer graphic and an illustrator by education. I started my artistic education at the Fine Arts High School in Krakow, with the curriculum in Display Decoration & Exhibition Design. Later I completed my education at a college in the United States, with the Applied Science Degree in Advertising Art & Computer Design. My artwork consists of various drawings with pencils, crayons, pastels, ink, charcoal and some computer graphics utilizing programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. My side passion is Arts & Crafts - decorations of all sorts, thematic wall paintings, surface paintings and reliefs on old furniture and objects in order to expose or to emphasize their artistic value. A few years ago, as a part of “widening my horizons”, I became acquainted with the old art technique called an egg tempera painting on wood which is known as the most traditional way to “write” icons. I completed several stages of icon-writing workshops with the chance to learn the secrets of this old painting technique. Also, as the outcome of these workshops, I introduced the gold leaf plating techniques into my artworks - some parts of my paintings are usually plated with a real gold, real silver or a copper-based gold substitute, fixed on Mixtion or Instacoll approprietly. At the present I devote all the time to improve my painting skills utilizing mainly the technique of an egg tempera on wood, writing icons and creating paintings of a bit more “secular” nature.

"I could paint for a hundred years, a thousand years without stopping and I would still feel as though I knew nothing.”
